St. Patrick's Day - Savannah - Update

Friday and Saturday Vernon, Evan, and I were blessed to preach in Savannah to an estimated one-million revelers. We had great conversations, sermons, and responses and the exhortation of the Apostle is more true than ever, "Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:58)

The following are the prayer requests I sent out to my beloved church, with pictures added. Most of these pictures are courtesy of Vernon. I must apologize for not being much of a photographer on this trip, I missed some great conversations Vernon had. Pray for the youth pastor of a local church there, he definitely knew the true gospel, and was striving for ways to arrest the descent he sees of so many youth into the animism and paganism that is overtaking Savannah; we encouraged him, Vernon with the message of Patrick the evangelist to Ireland, and myself with a copy of "The Way of the Master".

Friday, and Saturday Morning:

We've had a great first day here in Savannah. On Friday we set-up on River Street, and almost immediately had people stopping to ask questions. My best conversation was with Neil, a South Korean student who grew up Catholic and rejected God for the religion of evolution. After taking him through the law, he admitted to believing there was a god, but that it couldn't be the God of the Bible. We had a long discussion on evolution and creation, and I kept bring it back to the law. I concluded with, "'Till sin be bitter, Christ will never be sweet." He took my card and I'm hoping to hear from him again.

After this, the sky opened up and everyone ran for cover. We ended up in a massive impromptu party in a tunnel with our crosses, just standing there garnered us all sorts of glares. After about an hour the rain let up and we headed back out.

As I was preparing to preach, a Jewish Evolutionist came by and said, "One question: how old is the earth?" I responded with just a tad over 6000 years. He didn't like this answer, nor did several others walking by. This led to a great long conversation; the argumentative people kept changing with new people entering all the time, and we kept going over the gospel. At the end we got mired into a discussion with an Emergency Room Surgeon named Zackary who thought you couldn't be a scientist and a Christian. He didn't want to even consider his conscience, but I kept bringing him back to his conscience that he had sinned against the Creator God who holds the universe in the palm of his hand. Finally as we were going nowhere fast I left him with the same thought I left Neil, that until sin is bitter, Christ will never be sweet.

Finally I stood up and preached on the foolishness of the cross to the perishing. We had some very angry hecklers who started dancing and screaming, but they drew a massive crowd and I didn't finish preaching until the police came to shut the hecklers down because they were on the verge of violence. At that point it was almost 2am and so we called it a night. The only act of violence was minor, a drunk threw a beer at Evan but in his inebriation missed and only hit the very bottom of Evan's cross.

The parade this morning drew thousands of people, we quickly handed out our 1500 Patrick specific tracts then headed to lunch. On the way we passed a big park with many people in it, so stopped to share the message of Christ with them. Preached on the law which promised life, but brought death when transgressed, and now leads us to Christ.

Keep praying for us, there are lots of inquisitive lost people here, as well as angry hardened people, pray for our boldness and for the word to go out and call lost sheep home.

Saturday:

Thank you for your prayers this weekend, they most definitely were answered. One of my favorite proclamations of the gospel is, "He is Risen!" because in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ he has proven to be the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Saturday we proclaimed to Savannah that Jesus Christ is the Resurrection and the Life, that there is eternal life for the one who turns from sin and trusts in the gospel. We received many different responses, but indifference was rarely one of them.

The parade started at 10:15am, we very quickly handed out 1500 St Patrick's Day specific tracts. We watched the parade from a restaurant, then headed out to engage people with the gospel. We brought two crosses, they say "Repent & Believe" and "Foolish to the Perishing" on the front and both say "He is Risen" on the back. Almost instantly we had crowds gathering around us asking questions. The most common question was, "Why are you holding a cross?" My answer is usually, "I'm hoping it will start conversations." Frequently the follow-up question is, "Has it started any?" To which I reply, "If you died tonight, do you think you'd go to Heaven?" Many great gospel presentations ensued.

Pray for David, a young soldier who may have some serious mental and/or demonic issues. We talked for about half an hour and during that time he claimed to be both an atheist and a born-again Christian. He was certain that he was not just a good person, but a great person. Pray that the seed planted will take root and call David out of the darkness into the light of Christ.

We talked to three young men, 20 years old or so, one was so convicted after the law that he walked off without saying anything. I tried to get him to stay for the gospel, but he wouldn't. The other two stayed and were intrigued by the gospel, but both had grown up in dead churches and told sad stories of hypocrites who showed no fruit of the Holy Spirit, and so both denied any power in Christianity to change lives. I implored them to trust Christ and that God is true even when every man is a liar.

Afterwards we set up with our crosses at Ellis Square, a mid-sized park that became a major hangout as the day progressed. It was far too loud anywhere to preach, but many stopped to hear the gospel. One man was so furious that he spent several minutes screaming at me, he kept saying things like, "You're a fool!" "You're an idiot!" I pointed to the cross which says the message of the cross is "Foolish to the Perishing" and explained that God has chosen the foolish things in the world to shame the wise. He was finally escorted off by a man who was easily seven feet tall; Vernon affectionately named this reveler the "Jolly Green Giant".

Evan spoke with a young lady who seems to be in a church that is preaching the truth, but she does not seem to have yet repented. Pray that their conversation will call her to repentance. I spoke to a similar girl who has been through "The Way of the Master" training course but has at least a toe still in the world. I exhorted her to tell someone about Jesus that night: history has several examples of evangelists saved under their own preaching.

The son of a pastor came next, he asked if I believed in predestination. I said, "the word is in the Bible." He said he believed he was predestinated to not be saved. I said that sounded like a wicked excuse to sin. We talked for a while longer and he seemed convicted and ran off. He left his girlfriend though, and we continued the gospel conversation. She said she wasn't a Christian, but that I was definitely sharing Christ in the wrong way. I asked her how she was sharing Christ and she said she wasn't. I replied that I liked the way I was doing it better than the way she wasn't. She went away thinking.

The last good conversation of the night was with a Catholic young man who asked to take a picture with the cross. He then asked, why are you doing this? I said, so I can ask you if you're going to Heaven. He said he hoped so, but after the good person test he showed visible contrition. Pray for him, because his girlfriend told me his motives in taking the picture with the cross were not good at all, but we know that what was meant for evil God can easily turn for good, that many are saved.

We've had a great evangelistic time here, and great fellowship. Thank you once again for the prayers, continue to pray for those who heard the message of the cross, that it would not be foolish to them, but the power of God to salvation. May the Lamb who was slain receive the reward of his suffering!

Beautiful are the Fingers that Type the Good News

God asked Job, “Canst thou send forth lightnings, so that they go and say to you, Here We Are?"

It only took three thousand years, but we can momentarily take our hand from our mouth and say, “Yes, God, we can.” Don’t forget to firmly clamp your hand back over your mouth after saying as much.

Jesus Christ said that when he returns, some would be out working in the fields, and others would be home sleeping, but he said that everyone would see the Second Coming. Isaiah makes it clear that the world is round, Jesus knew this, after all, he created it. How then do we expect everyone to witness the return real time? If he manifests himself over Jerusalem, then California will be in the eclipse, if he begins his reign over England, then Australia will wonder what’s going on. How will everyone see this happening real time?

Television and the Internet, that’s how. You are currently reading this on a tool for the prophecy completion of the Second Coming.

I have a ministry to Muslims. If I stood in front of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem or on the Moon Rock in Mecca and preached my message, I would be sans head pretty quickly. But using the relative safety of the internet, I have been able to preach at hundreds of Muslims with a very offensive message, and in this respect the internet has been a wonderful tool. Click Here

All things are good if used lawfully. This is true even for the Bible. The Bible can be used maliciously and for bad just as easily as the internet, consider the ministries of Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen, and Jim Jones. Each is deadly in its own rite, some only to spiritual death, others to the death of both body and soul, truly these men are murderers of souls.

Paul tells Timothy, “Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent.”

Paul laid out six of the 10 Commandments explicitly, the other four are in there, although not quite so explicitly. I won’t judge you, but I do ask you to judge yourself. Have you ever told a lie? Does that make you a liar? Do you believe the Bible when it says that all liars will have their place in the Lake of Fire? Have you ever used God’s name in vain? This is called blasphemy, and God will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain. Have you ever killed anyone? Did you know that Jesus said that if you just hate someone, you will be judged as a murderer at heart?

The internet is lawful, if used for good. It is good for expanding your knowledge, for keeping in touch with long lost friends, for a lot of good things. But it can also be used very unlawfully. Children are propositioned for and exposed to all sorts of evilness every day, and you’ve heard it said of old, thou shalt not commit adultery, but Jesus said at the Sermon on the Mount, “Whosoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in their heart.” Have you ever done that? If so, you will be judged as an adulterer at heart. I won’t even ask if you’ve taken it farther, to rape or fornication at heart.

I can’t judge you, I don’t have that authority, but you have an appointment once to die, and then THE judgment, by Jesus Christ as your judge. How will you look? God knows the thoughts and intents of your heart, deeds done in darkness will be brought to the light, and you will give an account for every idle word.

We have all gone aside, turned to our own lusts, and all of us have transgressed an infinitely holy God, and thus will face the infinite punishment of Hell. But it is not God’s will that you should perish, but that you should turn from your sin and turn towards him. He has made a way for you to be forgiven; 2000 years before the Internet and invitro fertilization were invented, Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, God manifested himself in the flesh to be subjected to this world which we have broken, he was tempted just as we are tempted, but he didn’t succumb, and he gave himself up to be hung on the cross in your stead, charged and scourged on the claim of being God. What he did not steal, he came to repay, and he paid your fine in his own life’s blood. But because he is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living, on the third day he defeated death and rose from the grave to live forevermore.

Once you have repented (turned from iniquity to God) and placed your trust in Jesus Christ to save you, you will be forgiven, born into the family of God, where you will inherit eternal life, and though your body will pass away, your spirit will never perish.

Today is the day of salvation, the Bible says faith comes by hearing, and hearing the word of Christ. Today you have heard him call, don’t put this off, be reconciled to God, and then thank God that we can send forth lightnings, so that they go and say to you, “Repent and believe, for the kingdom of God is at hand.”

Proof of Evolution (aka The Dying Religion of Evolution)

Proponents of the religion of evolution have inadvertently proved evolution with their transition to Scaredy Cats (felicae scaredicae). Although there is no discernable external difference between a true scientist and these pseudoscientific scaredy cats, the inward differences are enormous.

A scientist looks at evidence and forms a hypothesis, then produces a study to test the hypothesis. If a hypothesis cannot be proven, it is determined to be false.

A scaredy cat forms a conclusion, then desperately searches for corroborating evidence and becomes violent when scientists explain that what they are doing makes them religious fanatics instead of scientists.

It is unclear at this point if this is the ancestor of the common house cat, that the scaredy cat is the long-lost missing link between homo evolutionus and our feline friends. Further study is necessary to determine if evolutionists have genetic traits which may someday, in a million years or so, produce improved night vision, and whether or not evolutionists have a higher propensity for rodents or birds. Another area to be studied is whether or not evolutionists enjoy being scratched behind the ears.

It is clear, at this point, that the scaredy cat is ill-equipped to survive in its scientific environment. Studies show that this new species would be more suited to worship their gods, Father Time and Random Chance, in the intellectual vacuums of liberal colleges.

The natural enemies of felicae scaredicae are the domesticated canine, the scientifically minded human being, and the Righteous Judge of the Universe.

Whether you choose to believe evolution or not, you have to agree that it is separated from science by a vast margin. You could not start from a blank slate and build a worldview with the "evidence" for evolution. You have to start with the presupposition, 'Evolution occurs' and then you can pretend evidence fits the model.

When you go to the doctor, would you rather he said, "Welcome to my office, you have appendicitis, now let me examine you and find supporting facts for my guess." Or would you rather he examine you then make his diagnosis?

Just as a building proves a builder and a painting proves a painter, creation proves a Creator. Natural laws prove order, the conscience proves absolutes in morality. Conversion proves that a huge number of people have underwent a major lifechange in connection with the name of Jesus Christ.

In the lab, nothing has never produced something. Therefore, from evidence, there had to be a first cause, the big bang is simply a bad guess at a point in time when everything was small, the existence of everything goes unanswered.

In the lab, nonliving things have never created life. Therefore, from evidence, life could not begin without external input.

In the lab, gas is consumed when it burns. In the sun, gas is consumed when it burns. 20 Million years ago, the sun would have reached earths present position.

In the lab, salinity content increases as salt is introduced. Increasing salinity of the oceans, as measured from 1850 to today point to a relatively pure ocean in ~2500 BC.

In the lab, fossils require near perfect conditions to form. These conditions include instant submersion of bones into water.

In the lab, order requires external input. Failure to add external input results in disorder.

In the lab, no animal has ever transitioned between archetypes (except for felicae scaredicae).

In the lab, all dating methods break down after a maximum of 3,000 years.

In the lab, dating methods become inconclusive if specimens get wet.

In the lab, nothing has ever defeated death for an extended period of time.

In the lab, fossils of 80% of known living species have been found in the Cambrian layer, yet 0-0.0000001% of transitional fossils have been found.

In the lab, a disassembled Mercedes Benz remains a pile of parts for 1 day, 1 week, 1 year, 1 century, 1 millenium without external input despite all of the pieces being there.

In the lab, children, ranging in ages from 2-10 from a myriad of backgrounds, universally agree that a toy car, a cat, a painting, and the sun all have a creator.

It defies evidence that evolution could occur, so I gently implore these scaredy cats to stop saying, "The evidence points to evolution."

Whether this is the truth or not, it is a scientific analysis, it is both repeatable and measurable. Look at your keyboard, it proves a keyboard maker, your mouse proves a mouse maker, look at your eye, it is the most complex camera ever made, containing 137 million light sensitive cells which focus faster than you can think, with a protective covering and built in windshield wipers, not only so, but it contains a built in monocular method for depth perception in one-eye models; it proves an eye maker.

If the religion of evolution is true, why did nature decide to see light waves and yet I can't see 97.5kHz on the FM dial? How come I can't hear red? Why can't I feel B-sharp? Evolution missed out on a huge and useful energy spectrum.

On the other hand, God asks, "Can you send electricity so that when it arrives it says, "Here I am."" (Job 38:35) Our bodies are designed to receive various information just like a radio or a tv or an oscilloscope, it is the only viable answer to our strangely inadequate sensory perception.

Evolution claims you can build a worldview on a heap of hydrologically sorted and preserved bones and say that nothing became everything. So far the only evidence evolution has produced is the scaredy cat.

Answers in Genesis is Winning

In the beginning was the Word, then pseudoscientists told us it couldn't be trusted and introduced an unscientific hypothesis which is nothing more than religion, and full of holes (holy?).

In 1859 Charles Darwin introduced his hypothesis through the work, "The Origin of Species", as a christianist minister, Darwin knew the ramifications of kicking Genesis in the leg...the rest would topple. Christianity is surrounded by trinitarian assemblies, we have a Triune God, we have a body, mind(soul), and spirit, and we have three distinct ages in History; preflood, postflood/pre-Christ, and post-Christ. Christianity stands on Creation, Conscience, and Grace. This is an extremely stable foundation, but if one is removed, the others cannot support the load. Humanists are sawing through the conscience leg now, but at current our big problem is that Creation has been compromised.

In 1960, a century after the Origin of Species, Creationists struck back with the first of many books on Creation. Evolution had a 101 year head start, but we have the Truth on our side.

Ken Ham, originally an Australian, began his ministry in 1970. This ministry today is called Answers in Genesis and they recently opened their Creation Museum just outside of Cincinnati. The grand opening was protested by extremely hateful and angry agnostics claiming to be atheists, but despite that, their museum has proved to be a hit.

They recently posted a press release announcing they had crossed the 100,000 visitor mark in seven weeks. Between 1800-2200 people visit daily, and are treated to a gorgeous display of dinosaurs, the Garden of Eden, and hundreds of scientific facts supporting the Creation Theory and destroying the evolution hypothesis.

Of my limited readership, all three or four of you, if you are active duty military then entrance into the museum is free, but it is reasonably priced otherwise.

Please pray for Ken and his wife Mally, and the entire team at Answers in Genesis. God has blessed their ministry abundantly, but as such they are faced with some of the harshest persecution in the free world. When the religion of evolution is only a memory, AiG will be credited as being a decisive force in fixing the Creation leg that Darwin broke; not just fixing it, but making it infinitely stronger.

Global Warming

In the History of mankind, men have wished to become gods.

It happened as early as the first days after creation. Adam and Eve believed that they would become as God if they ate of the forbidden tree. Instead they fell to ruin, becoming as ungodlike as possible.

4,400-4,200 years ago, men decided they could not become God, but that they could attain Heaven without God, and they tried to build for themselves a tower to Heaven, which, like all other things mankind has attempted without the Blessing of God, failed miserably.

In the 19th century, man believed they had finally outsmarted God and came up with a pseudoscience to write God out of His-story. When that almost caught on, like a flash in a pan, mankind instantly seized the belief that while they were not godlike by any means, they were still the closest to omniscience and omnipotence of any other organism.

As the decent of species fades into the archives of the fantastic, man needs to find a new way to believe himself powerful in his world.

How better to do that then to believe we have the capacity to destroy the earth? We originally thought it would be two people launching a nuclear missile and the retaliation would kill everything on Earth. But that doesn’t unite us against a common foe, that leaves us terrified that a mentally unstable duo could murder multi-Billions of people.

The Antichrist will come and unite the world through flattery, not through war. I really had a hard time understanding how he could do that until this report on global warming was released. It is a global initiative, focused on the emotions of people after a century of massaging people with “Earth-Day” and “Save the Whales” agenda, so that they’ll believe that the Earth is the most important thing in their lives. Now that it’s in danger (If it is indeed in danger), everyone should drop their differences, unite under one flag, and do everything we possibly can to save the planet we have so thoroughly damaged.

It is a plan that could only be orchestrated in the depths of Hell.

Despite widespread dissention, conflicting reports, and fallible science concerning Global-Warming, the majority of people believe that mankind is so powerful as to be able to destroy our own habitat, and thus will err on the side of belief in the warming trend. As for myself, I have a hard time believing that a meteorologist or other scientist has the ability to accurately predict weather in 100 years when they can’t predict weather accurately next week. Besides this, snow in Atlanta, record ice-storms, an ice-age 4,400 years ago, all leads me to believe that the Earth is either maintaining her own climate through an ingeniously prewritten program, or this warming trend has very little to do with modern aerosols and ozone producing processes.

I am of the opinion that this world is nothing to save anyways. It is 6,600 years post fall and the effects are astounding, death runs rampant, the majority of the world is Godless, 140,000 people stand in judgment before God each day. In the United States, 4,000 babies are killed daily, depression worsens year by year, suicide is a leading cause of death in teens; the world is not a happy place, and a major change will be good for it. Recently I read of the possibility of a nuclear air-burst over the United States. For those of you who do not understand electromagnetic pulses, in the ‘50s, Nuclear Tests destroyed multi-millions of dollars of electrical equipment in Hawaii, and that was before EVERYTHING had a computer in it. If a nuclear weapon explodes over the United States tomorrow, refrigerators will fail, cars won’t start, computers won’t boot, heatering and air conditioning will shut down. Of 300,000,000 American’s, how many can we expect to survive an EM Pulse? 50,000? 150,000? Maybe 1%, if we’re fortunate; the majority of our country can’t farm, can’t hunt, can’t cook, doesn’t know how to cut firewood. But can you imagine how many American’s know how to hold a gun in some-ones face who does and demand their food? How likely is a blast of this magnitude? Is it less pressing than an impending energy crisis? This should be our primary concern, not some extradistant pseudometeorological contested science.

Global Warming and a Persian based nuclear air-burst are exact opposites on the threat spectrum. Global Warming says it’s our collective fault, EMP says it is the fault of a select few. Both have the ability to kill multi-Millions of people. Global Warming unites, saying we’re all in it together; a defined enemy divides, saying that the differences in world-view and ideals are what is wrong with the world today.

The perceived threat of Global Warming, in its 100 year preparation, has caught our attention and stolen our focus from immediate issues; possibly and probably opening the door to mass corruption, mass war, and mass death. But in reality, the important thing to consider is that whether we die by weather or terrorism, everyone dies, and everyone will stand before the judgment seat of God.

In that moment the book of our consciences will be opened, God will see all of the occurrences where we thought we were better than Him in righteousness and power, promoting ourselves to our own personal god, and the damage we caused to our fellow man in the process will be known. God will show you each individual lie you have spoken and its infinite ramifications it had on the health of your fellow human beings and on the planet, the price of each thing that was taken without payment will be exacted on your soul, every lustful glance will be remembered and every blasphemous and hateful statement will reverberate through the courtroom. Your head will hang in shame and your knees will quake. In defense, you will attempt to offer your activism to save the planet, and God will remind you of your corruption and ignoring of the realized plight of those around you. Death comes to all men, judgment will follow. As the book of your conscience is closed, the book of life will be opened, and finding not your name in this book, God will cast your soul into the Lake of Fire, where the fire is never quenched, and you will plead for a drop of water, but none will come.

This scene is yet to be written, it is possible to escape this sentencing. God has already seen the book of your conscience and knows that justice demands that you spend eternity in Hell. God, in infinite love, has offered us a way to escape this punishment so richly deserved. In a plan devised before time, God became manifest on this destroyed and desolate Earth, born of a Virgin, where He lived the life of the Man, Jesus Christ, sinless in every way, tempted but not succumbing, God offered Himself up as the payment for the sin of the world and was hung on a Cross in our stead, He was beaten and tortured so harshly that most subjected to His sentence rarely survived to the crucifixion. Yet God bore this punishment that you had amassed so that you would not be subjected to the same. As Jesus died, the sky went black, the Earth trembled, and men believed. As the prophecy foretold, in three days Jesus rose from the grave, defeating death and Hell, and with Him He delivered souls to everlasting life and Heaven.

This gift of life is free to those who would seek it and accept it. God demands that mankind repent of their sins, that is, to stop sinning, apologize for past, present, and future transgressions, and do their best to live a righteous life, and God demands that you put your full faith in Jesus Christ to save you from the Wrath to come. Jesus Christ will save you from Wrath, like a parachute will save you from gravity; but in order to be saved by that parachute, you must put it on, and have the faith to use it. In order to be saved by Christ, you must let God attribute Jesus’ righteousness to you, and have faith in His saving graces.

Once you have repented and put your trust in Jesus Christ, God will create a new heart in you, your name will be written in the book of life, and the gates of Heaven will be opened to you. This will happen for all those who have received the atonement of Jesus Christ, not because they deserved life, but because they deserved death and were forgiven by God.

Global Warming, whether real or not, is a ploy developed by the devil in order to distract you from your impending judgment, and I plead with you to ascertain the salvation of your soul before you’ll worry about the physical health of the planet.

The Dying Religion of Evolution

Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis has opened his Creation Museum. This has been a long time coming and I am glad to see it opened. I hope the crowds never grow small, but I will save my visit until the initial rush subsides.

Religious leaders and followers alike of the religion of Evolution have become outraged at Ham’s sensical interpretation of science. It takes so much blind faith today to believe in the ridiculousness of evolution, so I’d like to put my major thoughts into one post.

Interpretive Challenges –
- In the beginning there was nothing.
- That nothing became something.
- That something blew up and became everything.
- That everything intelligently ordered itself into what we have today.
- Newton’s 2nd Law says all things are getting worse; Evolution says some things are getting better.
- A complete lack of transitional fossils.
- The Human Eye, with 137 Million light sensitive cells.
- Irreducible Complexity.
- Hundreds of Dinosaurs recorded throughout human history.
- A huge energy spectrum which we conveniently forgot to evolve sensors for.
- A complete lack of vestigial organs.
- aBiogenesis is a universally agreed upon impossibility.
- Monkeys don’t have appendixes.

The basic definition of science is that it must be observable, measurable, and repeatable. Evolution is not science, it has never and will never be observed, it is not measurable and despite our greatest efforts, evolution has never been replicated.

You did not evolve from a monkey. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. It is appointed once for a man to die, and then the judgment. The religion of evolution will not be a viable excuse on Judgment Day.

My Christian View on Stem-Cell Research

Most secular humanists are shocked to learn that I am all for Stem-Cell Research. As far as my limited research has concluded, Stem-Cells have been directly responsible for children with diabetes being cured completely, returning motion and even function to paraplegics, and improving the success rates of Leukemia treatment.

Stem-Cells are certainly the greatest medical discovery of the modern world, and their merits and uses should be explored to their vast potential.

Where a secular humanist and I differ are where those Stem-Cells should come from. A secular humanist hears the word, “Stem-Cell” and instantly thinks of a Petri dish with a tiny human being in it. When I hear the word Stem-Cell, I think to marrow cells, umbilical cells, and amniotic cells. Albeit out of these three, the marrow-cell, otherwise known as the adult-cell, is showing the most promise in the laboratory.

Without a Christian World-view it is nearly impossible to realize why the secular world is so hung up on the embryonic(human baby)-cells. They show no potential for success in test-animals and are more likely to cause cancer in lab-rats than to cure their ailments. As a Christian it is easy to see why secular science is so obsessed with the dead-end road of embryonic-cells. The Bible tells us that those that hate God love death. The Pro-Lifer’s have allowed their opponents to gain an upper hand in semantics by calling them Pro-Choice, when the proper and real term they have earned and deserve is Pro-Death. The Pro-Death group of people know, deep down in their conscience, that killing babies is wrong. No matter how dull their conscience is, it still hurts to know a baby has lost its life for their selfish purposes. This is why the embryonic-cell has so much potential for the Pro-Death crowd, because if the embryonic-cell could somehow become the greatest miracle the world has ever known (to them), then the 50~ Million babies they have killed will not have been in vain. Just as the Nazi’s hid behind science when they dropped people from airplanes to study the effects of gravity on the human body, the secular humanist is justifying the means by the ends; the means are babycide.

I would love to see the Michael J. Fox’s of the world cured, quadriplegic’s walk again, and the disease of diabetes go the way of small-pox and polio. These are real possibilities, things that we may see in our life-time. But embryonic-cells and killing babies will not bring us to these ends. In order to exploit our newfound miracle of Stem-Cell’s, there is one direction that has proven fruitful, which is as of yet an untapped well of untold remedies, and that direction is adult-cells. If you were unclear on Stem-Cells before, please don’t take my word for it, research these issues and realize just how much potential God has given us to cure our earthly ailments. Please, spread the word on the beautiful nature of adult-cells and condemn the malevolent nature of embryonic-cells. Write to your Congressmen detailing the merits and failures of both types.

Knowledge is the only way to the truth, and truth comes from hearing. Please don’t let your final opinion on this important matter be from a biased media; look at both sides of the argument.
